How we play
The agreement between everyone who plays here: respect the game, look after each other, and chase your prime.
Respect & fair play
Football is a contact sport — keep it on the pitch. Physical violence, verbal abuse, harassment, or discrimination means an immediate ban, no second chances. Treat your opponents as partners who push you to play better, not enemies.
Game rules
How the game is played — the same on every pitch, in every format:
- ·There's no referee — you call your own fouls, and the captain settles anything that can't be agreed.
- ·No sliding tackles.
- ·When the ball goes entirely out, play restarts with a kick, not a throw.
- ·You can score from anywhere — including directly from kickoff, a corner, or a goal kick, but not directly from the kick-in.
- ·The keeper can't pick up a back-pass with their hands.
- ·Goal kicks start with a pass — no dribbling straight out with the ball.
- ·A deliberate handball that stops a goal counts as a goal.
The Game Captain
The Game Captain makes the teams, manages goalkeeper rotations, and has the final say on disputes. Their role is to keep the game fun, fair, and moving — respect it.
Punctuality & cards
Arrive on time. Games kick off with the players who are there, and every late arrival disturbs the quality of the game for everyone who showed up.
- ·3 lates = 1 yellow card
- ·1 no-show = 1 yellow card
- ·2 yellow cards = 1 red card
- ·1st red card: 2-week suspension · 2nd: 1 month · 3rd: permanent ban
- ·Your card count resets after 10 clean games in a row — any late or no-show restarts the count
Weather
We play even if it rains. A game is only called off if the pitch is unplayable — if that happens, you get a full refund and a notification.
Cancellation & refunds
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before kickoff — cancel in the app and you're refunded in full. Inside 48 hours, the cancellation policy applies.
See the cancellation policy →The formats
Every game states its setup in the app — team size, subs, and how teams rotate. Whatever the setup, everyone gets fair playing time.
Two-team matches
5v5, 6v6 — whatever the pitch fits.
- ·Two teams play a running match for the full session.
- ·With subs: rotation every 5 minutes — the sub comes on in goal, the keeper moves outfield, one outfield player goes off.
- ·Without subs: the keeper rotates every 5 minutes.
- ·Everyone gets equal time — including in goal.
Winner Stays On
Win to stay. Lose to wait.
- ·3 teams — two play, one waits. Team size follows the pitch.
- ·Each game is 7 minutes or first to 2 goals.
- ·Winners stay on; losers make way for the waiting team.
- ·Draw? The team that came on last stays.
- ·Take turns in goal — usually one game each.
Shuffle Mode
Same rules, new teams every game.
- ·2 teams + subs; team size follows the pitch.
- ·New random teams for every game, generated before kickoff.
- ·You play several short games in one session.
- ·Meet at the centre between games for next team assignment.
- ·You collect individual points: win +3 · draw +1 · loss 0.
Pitch & equipment
- ·Surfaces vary by venue — synthetic turf at some, hard court at others. Your game page shows the surface; match your shoes to it.
- ·No metal studs, on any surface.
- ·If you kick the ball out, retrieve it immediately — a bench player subs in while you search.
- ·If two players send the ball out, both retrieve it; the game continues short-handed.
- ·Lost or damaged equipment is replaced at the prevailing rate — see Terms of Service.
