Teams and the match timer
The Teams tab shows the teams face to face and the captain can keep editing them all session; the match timer runs the goalkeeper rotation and the match clock, with a voice instead of a whistle.
Updated 30 October 2026
The Teams tab shows the teams face to face, one column and one shirt each. Pitch puts each team on its own half. In a 5v5v5 there are three halves, and the team sitting out is marked Waiting.
- Tap any player to open their card.
- If you haven't booked, tap Join in a free place to book it.
- Booked players can pick their own team before kickoff.
The captain, the organiser and admins can also:
- move a player with Move to, or trade two players with Swap with, from the player's card
- drag a player sideways into the other team
- tap a shirt to change its colour (9 colours; two teams can't wear the same one)
They can keep editing for the whole session, from the Teams tab or the Teams button on the timer. In a classic game a move changes the match being played. In a 5v5v5 it applies from the next match. Players see the teams read-only while a match is on.
The match timer
From 60 minutes before kickoff, the captain sees Start the timer on the game page and on their home screen.
Classic games
- Set how often the goalkeeper changes and how long the break lasts, then Start.
- Tap a team's button when it scores.
- When it's time, a voice calls "Change goalkeeper!" and the screen turns orange for the break. The match clock keeps running.
- Tap End, check the score and confirm.
5v5v5
- Two teams play, the third waits. Set the length and the goal limit (first to 2 by default) and tap Start match for each match. A match ends at whichever comes first.
- A voice calls "Last minute!", then "Last action!" when time is up.
- Confirm the score: the winner stays on. On a draw, the team that has been on longer goes out.
The calls are a voice, there is no whistle. Keep the screen open: sounds stop if the phone locks. The timer also works with the phone turned sideways.
Once a match is on, players get Watch the timer: the same clocks, without the buttons.
